Phase One Devs

Methodology

A readiness score with visible evidence and limits.

The Phase One automated audit measures a bounded public-site foundation. It keeps access, eligibility, visibility, representation, referral, and conversion as separate stages.

Evidence states

  • Observed: the scanner directly captured the public signal.
  • Gap: the scanner observed the eligible signal was absent or conflicting.
  • Unverified: the evidence was unavailable, JavaScript-dependent, blocked, or outside scope.
  • Not applicable: the check does not apply and is excluded from the denominator.

Foundation score

The 100-point foundation model covers access and crawlability (25), index/snippet/canonical readiness (20), content and answer usability (25), entity and evidence clarity (20), and conversion/action readiness (10).

When evidence is unverified, the report shows a minimum, maximum, and evidence coverage instead of silently converting missing evidence into zero.

Collection boundary

The scanner starts at the normalized site root, reads robots before secondary pages, and samples up to six same-origin HTML pages. It inspects bounded source HTML and does not execute customer JavaScript.

Results are comparable only within the same collector and score-model version. A release note records material scoring or collection changes.

Outcome boundary

A public scan can observe technical and content preparation. Actual indexing, rankings, answer extraction, Google AI Overview supporting links, generative mentions or citations, and business outcomes need different authorized evidence.
